Problem solving analysing facts and situations and applying creative thinking to develop appropriate solutions

You are able to look at a situation and identify if there are problems.  You might out forward your own ideas or discuss the problems with your team and obtain different opinions.  By considering the different options, you decide on a creative, practical or new solution.

Could be one of the following:

• Working in a group or solo to achieve a solution to a problem.
• Finding a way to raise money in order to pay for travel to an event
• Taking charge of your teams training when the coach is taken ill.

e.g.

My parents wanted to buy a new car. I went on the internet and researched some reviews of the ones that they were interested in.

Or:

I have had to decide whether to stay my current swimming team or seek for a new one with more opportunities for training.
