Pharmacy Work ExperienceLeave a Comment
For 9 months, I volunteered for work experience at a Pharmacy where I help responsibility and commitment as a employee. There were many occasions where I had come to a situation whether it was with patients or staff where I needed to communicate effectively and well enough to ensure the job was well. One example of this for instance is regular patient who suffered from autism and was also deaf. When I had approached the patient, I was unaware of his situation however, I was able to communicate with him slowly and gradually trying to understand what he needed and how I could assist him. I asked my senior colleague for assistance to double check as I did not want the patient to receive anything I was not sure of. Therefore, this situation not only involved inferring from the patient but also, I needed to translate my understanding and communicate sufficiently to another staff member.
